bittersweet but at least interesting

so you must remain as you are,

beautiful, strong-willed and ever cognitive

You must learn to read and write

because this will be your weapon

to dream, to escape, to imagine

from life’s realities

to discuss, to question life’s norms

in search of your path

instead of paths laid out by the blind to lead us…into oblivion
