At the heart of our work, lies the belief that emerging economies in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Latin/ South America, and the Caribbean should be able to narrate their own histories—their ongoing stories of culture, economy, and politics—and define their respective futures.
Emerging from the global majority, we created Global Group Media with a focus on emerging markets as well as the world’s leading countries, providing our diverse global audience with a macro-level overview of international business across hemispheres. Our detailed reports are centered around thought leaders: innovators, inventors, problem solvers, and drivers of national and industrial growth and development. We write from the ground up, from within; we tirelessly seek out the insider perspective because we want to provide an authentic situational analysis of each country and its various industries. Spending 3-6 months at a time embedded in our target locations, we collect stories of strategic investment, committed entrepreneurialism, unexpected challenges, instructive failure, and hard-won success.
But, of course, we’re not all business. We love to highlight and celebrate a country’s history, culture, art, literature, music, and entertainment from these communities, painting a richer picture of cultural life, while still ensuring that companies and local industries are given a valuable opportunity to highlight their stories and gain exposure in established markets—and vice versa.

- Our Reason
The Inspiration Behind the Rising WOMAN Project
Our founder’s mother was the inspiration behind the Rising WOMAN project.
In 2018, following her mother’s diagnosis with dementia, our founder identified a phenomenon she called Silent Leadership, where the voices of women in Africa remain unheard, their potential untapped, and their tireless dedication to family, community, and the continent overlooked.
Her mother’s experiences were shaped by the harrowing 1967 Biafra war that devastated the Igbo tribe in Nigeria. The war brought extreme poverty, famine, violence, and widespread PTSD, leaving lasting scars on everyone, including her mother.
The Rising WOMAN Series, Africa Edition was created in partnership with Forbes Africa as a tribute to her mother and a celebration of all African women and global women impacting the continent.
Six years later, this legacy continues with the Global Women Impacting the World series on NBC, which is supported by a five-year publishing contract.
