Our intimate knowledge of the subject matter is achieved by living and working for 3-6 months in each of the Rising countries we profile. Through this immersive process, we glean first-hand insight and convey this to our readers and investors through engaging, detailed reporting and interviews.
We created the Rising Series out of a strong desire to celebrate innovation and perseverance in a moment marked by worldwide turmoil and economic challenges. An exciting offshoot of the broader program—takes on the crucial charge of female empowerment in the global economy. Published in Forbes Africa, and now on NBC.com, this multi-volume effort has featured over 1,000 women from across the global majority who are making an impact in their chosen fields. From philanthropy to health and education, energy, finance, tech, infrastructure, etc, our rising women demonstrate the value of diverse leadership and the power of the female voice. It started with Africa and has now evolved into global profiles of Rising women in North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Latin America, and the Caribbean, with a global south/majority focus.
Central to this series—indeed, to all of our efforts—is our proprietary Write/Speak/Meet process. We highlight changemakers across various legacy and new media formats (Write), curate their participation in high-profile events as speakers, delegates, or sponsors, to ensure impactful exposure (Speak), and embed them within our 10,0000+ member database and exclusive networks of world-shaping business, political, and cultural leaders (Meet) to ultimately access markets and FDI.

- Our Reason
The Inspiration Behind the Rising WOMAN Project
Our founder’s mother was the inspiration behind the Rising WOMAN project.
In 2018, following her mother’s diagnosis with dementia, our founder identified a phenomenon she called Silent Leadership, where the voices of women in Africa remain unheard, their potential untapped, and their tireless dedication to family, community, and the continent overlooked.
Her mother’s experiences were shaped by the harrowing 1967 Biafra war that devastated the Igbo tribe in Nigeria. The war brought extreme poverty, famine, violence, and widespread PTSD, leaving lasting scars on everyone, including her mother.
The Rising WOMAN Series, Africa Edition was created in partnership with Forbes Africa as a tribute to her mother and a celebration of all African women and global women impacting the continent.
Six years later, this legacy continues with the Global Women Impacting the World series on NBC, which is supported by a five-year publishing contract.
